We were not prepared!
I completely agree that this lockdown was not what we were prepared for. One day we were in our offices, gyms planning the next big thing and suddenly everything came to halt!
Life gives you lemons 🍋 🍋 🍋, you make lemonade!
So here are 5 activities that can help you be sane during pandemic!
- Help your mom.
Let's be frank, this lockdown is the toughest on her. With no maids, no cook, and everyone in the house she is the one who needs a helping hand. Get out of your beds and fold those clothes. Even this was unplanned for her.
- Sign up for an Online Course.
You can learn a new language, new software, or just new makeup skills! The main point is to check off your hobby. Something that you always wanted to learn for fun but never get time to do so.
- Arrange a full self-spa session.
Now this one is a little intended towards self-care and self-love. But do this right. Get the best of your oils, some exotic scented candles, rose petals bowl and create a setup. Put some light music on and dive into the world of relaxation. Let every bone in your system relieve and just feel that you are floating.
Create an environment and just dip your feet in lukewarm water with some salts and you are good to go!
- Color it out.
Get a blank white chart paper or canvas. Get all the color pencils, crayons, sketch pens available in your house and start coloring. Now if you are an artist, great but if you are just a noob like me divide the paper into 8 sections and start filling each section with different colors.Art works as an anti-stress therapy and this will affect your mood.
- Just Relax.Sleep.Cook and Keep yourself away from the news!
I will keep this real crisp, the world is suffering and this one isn't a planned spiritual break. It is an epidemic and we all are taking precautions. So if you can't indulge yourself in any of the activities. Just breathe in and exhale. Maybe write back to me about your feelings and we can chat over it.
